We wanted a counter-heighth table that was attractive and would seat up to eight people comfortably. These chairs are the match to the table. The cushions are a bit darker than the picture, but that helped to subside concerns about possible stains, etc. (we have an active child).
These are good chairs, but they require a lot of time to put together. Additionally, the instructions that arrived with them were dated 2004 and were incorrect (parts diagram was inconsistent with actual parts; diagram/directions for building was wrong, etc.). We obtained an updated instructions list (dated 2010) and it was still incorrect for similar reasons already stated.

Service and delivery comments:

Hayneedle worked with us every step of the way to resolve issues with the out-dated directions, including contacting the supplier to get the updated instructions and getting clarification when the directions were still incorrect. It was quite frustrating, but we wanted this set badly b/c nothing we found locally was as good a match for our criteria. We would recommend this to a friend, but with the caveat to be prepared to spend a significant amount of time putting the chairs together and tweaking the legs to eliminate any rocking. Also - use the long screws on all parts b/c the smaller screws won't stay in. And don't use the glue; it's of little value.
