I bought this for my eat in kitchen. It looks great. I'm a female and it took me 3 hours to put together by myself. The table and bench were easy but the chairs took the longest.

When the shipment arrived at my door, the delivery man pointed out the damage on the outside of the box that had gone through to the table. The table top had been scratched but it was small so I let it go. One hole was drilled improperly out of all the chairs so it had to be adjusted for the screw to go in properly. There was one missing screw total.

This table set is made out of solid wood but the wood is soft and so it scratches and dents easily. You don't want to write on paper on this table! Also, there was a tiny drill hole at one end of the table where someone drilled all the way through the table top itself when putting it together with the framing that you connect the legs to. I filled this tiny hole with wood glue and it's not noticeable now.

I do think quality control should be improved some.

Overall, it's not a bad table. If you are a little handy then you'll have no problem fixing some (if any) of the manufacturers mistakes you encounter. The surface of the table does not have a lot of shine and is rather dull but you can apply a shiny top coating to it and give it some shine as well as seal in any grooves in the wood that might be present so food doesn't get trapped. The teeth of each piece of wood are plainly visible which is something you can't see very well in the product picture. The color is close to what you see listed here but I think it has a slightly yellowish tint. Be sure to wipe the table down when you get it out b/c there is a lot of dust on it. Hope my review helps!
