    We were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to assemble this set. It looks GREAT in our eat-in kitchen. The wood matches our kitchen cabinets. We are so happy with the quality, too. The construction is very sturdy. The seats are broad and comfortable. The table legs and chair legs are all level. It completely upgraded and transformed the look of our kitchen.

    This table looks great in my kitchen, it was easy to put together and its nice and sturdy. My only drawback is that the chairs don't push in all the way which is annoying because it takes up more space in the kitchen. I bought this table because it had one big post in the center instead of 4 posts supporting in on the outer edges, that way you can squeeze more people around the table during holidays. I think that is why the chairs don't push in, because of that big center post but I don't regret buying it.

    Q1: What type of wood is this made from?

    A: An Asian hardwood called Rubberwood. Rubberwood is an eco-frindly wood which makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing life cycle. The trees are removed by hand and replaced with new seedlings. In the past, felled rubber trees were either burned on the spot or used as fuel for locomotive engines, brick firing, or latex curing. Now the wood is used in the manufacture of high-end furniture. It is valued for its dense grain, stability, attractive color, and acceptance of different finishes.
